Proposed Amendments to Draft Longford Town Development Plan 2009 – 2015

A number of amendments to the Draft Longford Town Development Plan 2009 – 2015 have been proposed. The proposed amendments are accompanied by the SEA Addendum, which assess the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the proposed amendments, prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations, 2004.

The Draft Plan also includes additions to the Record of Protected Structures, which forms part of the Draft Development Plan. An Architectural Conservation Area for Battery Road is also proposed in the Draft Development Plan.

A copy of the proposed amendments, including proposed additions to the Record of Protected Structures and the Architectural Conservation Area and the SEA Addendum may be inspected in the offices of Longford Town Council, Market Square, Longford during the period from Wednesday 29th April, 2009 to Wednesday 27th May, 2008 (inclusive) during normal working hours. In addition, the Plan may be inspected via the links bwloe or Longford County Library during the relevant opening hours.

To get valued input and comment from the general public, written submissions or observations with respect to the Draft which are made to the Council within the period from Wednesday 29th April 2009 to 17.00 on Wednesday 27th May 2009 will be taken into consideration prior to the making of the Longford Town Development Plan, 2009-2015.
